Hope someone on ere may help please . My step-daughter has now been runnin about on her wee 50cc yamaha neos for long enough now and am hoping we can derestrict it .Has anyone done this or know how to on the neos??It does have a pipe coming off its original exhaust which is sealed closed at the end of it and also i have not yet taken the exhaust off to check for a retrictor washer .

Anyone know plz??

Ps its a y plate and obviously is restricted as will only do 30 odd mph

Its two stroke right? You don't need to take the exhaust off to remove the variator washer, At least you shouldnt have to. It will be in the crank case where the drive belt is. One end will have the variator on and one will have the clutch on. On the variator there is a small washer between it and something else, dunno what its called. But yeah remove that, upjet the carb a few sizes, and either cut that restriction pipe off the exhaust and reweld it, or just buy a sports pipe which is probably easier and more benificial.
