Alright Guys



Had a real shiter today ,coming home from work i noticed my back end was sliding all over i put it down to oil on the road and kept going. Then i heard a snap i slowed down and went down the gears which made a very loud clunk.

I pulled over and firstly noticed that my chain was very loose ( nearly off) and then that the tension block had snapped in half and the half left was jammed in the swinging arm. I then noticed that the wheel nut was loose also.

I got the half of the tension block out and got the tension back on the chain enough to get home.



I think what may have happened is...I tightened my chain last night ,and i dont think i tightened the wheel nut enough(if at all i cant remember doing it).Im now off the road till i get a new block don't want to take the chance of it slipping again. Does anyone happen to have an old one hanging about that i can buy off them.

Its to fit a thundercat.

Just turn the block 45deg until you get a new one.

Welcome to the club. I forgot to tighten the nut up before going to Scotland, 700 miles and a bit of enthusiastic riding later I notice my error and the lack of the nut.
