Sorry to hear about that mate.

When you have a bike that is styled to attract attention like that, you probably shouldn't leave it on the road overnight.

Especially not around Putney. Covers and large chains help a bit, but I'd have an uber-paranoid alarm fitted to a bike that looked that pretty.

Have the insurers given any kind of indication on whether they'll pay up or not?

Thirded.

What surprises me is not the fact that it got nicked, but that you appear to be surprised by the fact that it got nicked.

New bird? U stayed overnight? So u got your willy wet? Smile

On a serious note, I personally wouldn't leave my bike out overnight. It only takes an opportunistic thief to wreck it and possibly two to nick off with it (as u said it had a disc-lock).

Hope you get everything sorted and get yourself back on the road.

Bad news mate, kind of thing that scares the shit out of me.

Ive never been in the position to leave a bike out overnight and if I did I wouldnt be able to sleep with worry.

Probably a case of two blokes and van, easy pickings being a 125. Sad You should'nt have to worry about scum but unfortunately its a shit world we're living in. Arseholes Thumbs Down

Hope they pay out, insurance companies can be a bunch of wriggly buggers Rolling Eyes

If its any consolation the immobilizer wouldnt be worth the packet it came in if someone has lifted it into a van. It may be a pain in the arse to them later on but an immobilizer on a bike is pretty useless. The bigger the bike the more men required to lift it.

Well if your mate parked there too, you should have had a big fat chain and locked them together!!!

I have a feeling the first bike stolen wasn't a R1. Wink

Hope you find it fella. Can't see there is a market for parts as it is not a mainstream bike. I take it you have wandered the local parks and waste grounds (also known as council estates Wink )?
