Hi, for what it's worth, I booked my SV1000 in for it's MOT 700 miles away from where it was kept (Margate to Lossiemouth)

I don't think there is a legal limit, but it may come down to what the courts consider reasonable.

assuming it has MOT, take it down a day before it runs out?

if no MOT, then im pretty sure you can ride it to the test centre if its booked in, again within reason Wink

edit: i dont even remember writing that first post Shocked

As long as you have a license and insurance you will be covered for MOT and Tax. I wouldn't expect 30 minutes to be excessive. Make sure you are booked in at the test centre and make sure they have your Reg. number on record. Thumbs Up

You are allowed to ride to and from a pre arranged MOT at a local MOT station with the emphasis on the fact that it must be pre-arranged. you are obviously allowed to ride it home again should it fail, but this must be by the shortest legal route.

There is actually case law regarding a guy who travelled 300 miles to a pre-arranged MOT and got slaughtered.

You know that question your insurance company ask you? You know the one...

"Do you have any advanced riding qualifications?"

Shocked Bet they must insure you for free, heh.
