Ok so I have de-restriced my bike, up jetted the carb, using carbon reed valves and drilled holes in the airbox for more air flow.

But my bike still won't go above 75mph, it gets to 70 then struggles to get that extra 5mph.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have been thinking about a new exhaust, as at the moment my exhuast is still standard, but would it really be worth it?

Thanks to all that can help Smile

To be fair mate my bike isn't as de-restricted as yours it has a few simple things done and my bike gets 75mph indicated. I would say the exhaust makes one hell of a difference though, not that I've done that yet. Look for a guy on here called alains. Search his posts regarding NSR's because the fella is a an NSR genius. He has links for his site that tells you everything you will need to know mate.

Yeah I thought that the exhaust would make most difference, its really the only thing I can do to my bike now anyway. Alains replied to one of my other posts about an exhaust and recommended a tyga exhaust, I will probably fit one of those and see what the difference is.

You will probably only get a couple of BHP but I'm betting it feels different.

Sorry I'm a bit confused. So you havent derestricted your exhaust yet? If not then its a must.
Just bought myself an arrow exhaust system for my nsr to replace the std derestricted exhaust that was on there and I can tell you, even tho they're both derestricted theres a bloody big difference. For starters the arrow one weighs about 10Kg less lol
