64bit apps ?

I was due for a fresh install and managed a copy of vista 64bit.

Thus far I haven't ran into any compatibility issues that have posed any real problems.

Drivers have been easily come by or at least as easy as their 32bit counterparts.

What I'm after though is some 64 bit apps to run on it to see any real difference in performance.

Doesn't really matter what it is but something that isn't too specialized would be handy.

Just a name would be good as I shouldn't have too many probs sourcing what ever it is.

I honestly thought there would be a 64bit Microsoft office but it appears I was mistaken.

Things which would come in handy would be any video/pic editing suites, games or ....umm well who knows, I guess this is why I'm asking.

only piece of software i know that takes advantage of 64-bit is adobe premier pro. other expensive video editing software maybe the same but most programs are still built in 32-bit. which does generally mean that it is usually slower on 64-bit systems (but not usually by any noticeable difference)
while driver issues maybe sorted with 64bit systems. very few programs are designed to work with 64bit systems. Even things like PC games aren't designed to take full advantage of multiple core GPU's yet and that was many years ago

Half life 2 has a 64-bit version. I have honestly never seen any difference with any of the 64 bit stuff. I have used XP 64 for a long period. I recently installed Windows 7 64 bit too. The only thing it really does is allow me to use more than 3.5gb of RAM. I always end up switching back to XP 32 bit though. I hate Windows 7 and Vista. Nothing works as well, everything is spread out and hard to find. I couldn't even share a network drive the other night so I switched back to XP.

Solidworks has a 64bit and it benefits massively from it.

archiving utilities like winrar and 7zip have 64-bit versions
