cbr 125 speedometer stopped working

I left it yesterday under a cover and there was heavy rain, i'm thinking it could be shorted? everything else electrical seems fine... Is this easy to check and fix?

Does the CBR have a digital or analogue speedo?

I believe the early ones had an analgue one in which case it's a mechanical speedo and cannot be shorted out(although it could be the speedo drive or cable that's gone), if it's digital then it could have shorted out yes.
