Insurance Advice

I could do with some advice on insurance.

Basically someone pulled out in front of me, writing my bike off, in april, my insurance on that bike ran out last week. I only received my settlement for my bike on monday, but not for the damage to my helmet or 'personal injury' which i wasnt aware i was even claiming for!

Im going to get a new bike on saturday with my nice big settlement, which was well in my favour!

But ringing my old insurance up i apparently still have 0ncb, even though it wasnt my fault, and the 3rd party have admitted full liability! they say i wont get the 2 years ncb till everythings been settled.

ANYWAY, my question is, will the insurance company check up on my ncb, so can i blag it or not?

generally if you ring up and explain the situation when you are getting quotes. you may still get the NCB even though the claim is still ongoing. Liability has been agreed by the other party, and you have received part of your settlement so they should take that into consideration.

i wouldnt blag it with the companies as they may check and then you could end up with insurance cancelled.
