I seriously cannot understand the appeal of our country at all. Confused

Very Happy It'll make a change from all the Ozzies working in the bars.

You might want to take in Wales or Cumbria.
At least those areas share a love of sheep.
They are also used for meat and wool apparently Very Happy

Thumbs Up

The sheep farmers in Wales have taken to wearing kilts.
Apparently the sheep can recognise the sound of a zip being lowered. Laughing

According to google maps -

2,613 miles – about 2 days 10 hours solid riding

Excluding ireland (which is a part of the UK but a ferry trip away)

Bike magazine have wrote about it in the last mag and done it in 72 hours i think. But i'm sure it could be done quicker. I don't get why anyone would want to move here though and it's a bad time to try and get a job aswell lol.

Including the trip from Northampton to the coast and back (so knock off about 140 miles), I plotted a route that hugged the coastline as closely as possible, which came out as 3943.2 miles.

Riding round the UK could be quicker, or slower than NZ, depending how you go about it.

You can go via motorways which will make things a lot quicker (compared to say using SH1 etc), or you can go around the back roads. There are a hell of a lot more back roads in the UK than in NZ, there arent many mettle roads and not so much loose gravel.

Although the same size in land mass roughly there is a hell of a lot more to see (by road particularly) in the UK than in NZ. You wont be that lost. Lots more people and 'stuff' in the UK than NZ but it's quite similar. Go to Wales and it really does look like NZ in places.
