Hi Guys,

I'v owned my 05 r6 for around a month now and its been great although iv recently had a problem of the footpegs/seat vibrating a lot which is beginning to worry me. It is pretty much through the entire rev range but definately gets worse from 6k rpm +. At first I thought I was just being paranoid but after riding for about 50 minutes today my feet started to go numb due to this vibration which aint right atall!

Now I was out on it a couple of weeks ago where I was giving it a bit of stick (especially braking and coming down the gears) so im thinking I might of done some damage to the clutch/gearbox - sometimes it doesn't want to go into gear and I get a sh*t load of clutch rattle in neutral. The bikes only done 6000miles so I wouldnt of thought anything should need replacing yet, maybe im wrong?

Has anyone had any similar problems or know if I may of damaged anything? Im tempted to take it back to the dealer to see if anything can be sorted with them...

Cheers,

Joe

sounds similair to a bloke who keeps saying that to me at work, clutch rattle is common, spesh when new. I cant say it is or isnt anything, the only thing you can do is book it in with a yamaha mechanic and see what they say, if it is vibeing too much then it will be a chain or bearing problem if its not that then its engine which means it being taken out and apart.
