NOW SOLD. THANKS
Hi all
Due to the imminent arrival of a CBR600 my GPZ500 is now up for sale.
This is a good, honest bike in good overall condition. It is a 98 R reg with just gone 26k on the clock, and sailed through it's MOT last week - meaning it's got 12 and a half month's ticket on it. I have also just taxed it for the year starting from the 1st July.
Overall it's in reasonably good condition for it's age, mechanically it's very sound - starts first time every time, runs as sweet as a nut, rides fine, brakes work fine, there's no nasty engine noises and there's no bearing issues at all. Chain/sprockets look ok to me. Gearbox is very slick, no clunkiness. Engine pulls smoothly.
It's not cosmetically perfect, but it does look nice - as you can see from the pics. The rear grab rail cover plastic is a bit dislodged, and there's a couple of scrapes here and there which it's picked up over the years being wheeled around. It doesn't show any evidence of ever having been put down at speed.
It has a Datatool System 3 alarm system fitted also.

Known faults:
Exhaust doesn't seal that well where joins the front pipe on near side, not too bad - still passed MOT.
No revcounter/speedo backlight - no idea why, didn't notice til a couple of days ago.
Very small tear in side of seat, not getting any worse, hardly noticeable.
I'm after £800 please. I'm located close to J30 of the M25, by Lakeside shopping centre, and can meet a potential buyer half way if needs be.
PM me for any further info or a number to speak to me on.
Regards
Arry
