hi i was wondering if any body can help me out. i have a Yamaha Yq 50 Aerox when i push the electric start the kick start keeps clicking down does any body please help me out i have taken the panel off and there is a big spring in there which is not turning the cog please please can you help me out

that big spring is the kick start return spring it's probably been taken off at some point & not refitted properly

depress the kickstart & see if it returns properly if not then wip the pannel off, disconnect the end of the spring from the pannel & twist it round one revolution to tension it up

that should fix it

The clicking sound you are hearing is the kick-start pinion gear engaging with the one way clutch. This is caused by the kick-start pedal hanging down because the return spring is broken or has come off the lug inside the drivebelt casing. As the previous poster said, see if you can reconnect it or if it's banjoed then replace it.
If you lift the kick-start pedal up by hand & hit the electric starter button you shouldn't hear any clicking noise. All the dispatch riders on this forum will love me for this but if the starter noises are wrecking your head then hang up the kick-start pedal using a bungey till you get the return spring sorted.
