I got the pit bike riding today, Took it up to the roundabout near my house and back.

What I'm finding though is unless its in the power band all the time, It is really really boggy.

Also 5th and 6th are completely un usable, No matter how hard you spank it in 4th.

So Could It be I've just gone too daft with my gearing?

I am running:

17t Front
35t Rear
12" rear wheel (130/70-12)

Stock TZR:

16t Front
45t Rear
18" rear wheel (110/80-18)

Kickstart worked out the ratio and the Pit bike was coming out 9% shorter gearing than the TZR was.
The TZR used to ride fine when it was a TZR, Now the engine is in my pit bike, It goes like the clappers until you get into 5th, Then it just bogs down. No power/torque to pull it.

So is it the gearing do you think? Or could it just be a bad setup engine. Because surely the TZR engine would pull even taller gearing when fitted in the pit bike, Due to the sheer weight difference. It's 1/2 the weight of the TZR125.

you can play around with the rear wheel, front & rear cogs off your tzr as they are only bolt on bits but are you still running the standard gearbox? the tzr box would have been designed as a compromise for all road conditions especially top gearing with the standard wheel & sprockets so your set up my need a bit more thought.

Sounds bizarre, But could it be the Boost bottle? I've not got it fitted. I've just plugged off the hole in the inlet.
