Looking at getting an xbox 360, had a quick look on ebay, and noticed that there were some for sale pretty damn cheaply with the dreaded RROD.

Would it be worth buying one? Could I just send it to microsoft to get them to fix it? or would I have to do it myself?

Thanks.

Do it yourself. Torx kit is about £10 if that, the fixing kit is about £5 on eBay, which comes with an instruction kit, takes half an hour if that. The only risk with RROD Xboxes off eBay is that sometimes they aren't RROD, there is something else wrong with them too.

Cheers for the info, was only really buying it to play motogp.

Just realised that I can get motogp 08 for £4.99 for my laptop, and a xbox controller for £17.99.

bargain.
