greetings Smile

im back Wink

how has everyone been? I passed into the royal navy july 4th, having passed my ten weeks of basic training at HMS Raleigh down in Cornwall, i moved to Portsmouth yesterday, and am now at a place called HMS Collingwood, for about 8 weeks it looks like

came back home today to get my bike (missed it lots) it started first time would you believe Surprised but left fuel tap on so its got petrol everywhere, at least im hoping thats the cause Rolling Eyes currently sitting infront of computer, smelling of petrol, struggling with the screen, and no longer being able to type, its good to be back Very Happy

not really sure where to start with where ive been and what ive been doing, cos it feels like forever, and has been the most difficult ten weeks ive ever had to deal with, but equally rewarding, and despite my doubts before going away, im now pretty certain i made the right choice, probly grown up a lot since i been away as well, i now have an income, and i get taxed, i have a job, i wash and iron my own clothes Surprised Surprised Surprised and somehow manage to get up at 5.15 every morning, fuck knows how but its pretty impressive

and im generally much happier than i was before i went away, got a future of sorts now, some kind of security, might not be making sense, but its a good feeling

onto the forums, looking good Smile lots more stuff here now, and a 3 month back log which i havent got a hope of gettin through, brief updates here would be good, so over to you.... Very Happy

also got some pics of my time at training, so i'll get some up when i can

good to be back Very Happy Very Happy

Welcome back Goosage! \o/ Very Happy

So how long will you be at home for? You gonna be allowed to take the bike to Pompey?

Not too sure if we *really* want to see the kind of activities that you got up to in the Navy Wink

thanks guys Very Happy

i can take my bike to pompey yes, which makes me much happier, cos i will feel far less isolated

the first two weeks in cornwall in the middle of nowhere with no one but strangers and no bike wasnt easy (and i was pretty certain i was gonna leave for the first 4 weeks) but much happier now ive got my bike back, and working Smile

ive got inet at the new base, but its a quid for 15 mins, which is steep, so will go on briefly and occasionally just to say hi, should be back home most weekends as well so wont need to net that much during the week

and summer leave starts 8th august for 3 weeks, so lots of time to catch up then, and hopefully make RnB or BdB or both Very Happy but too much to do this weekend so i'll find out more for next week Smile

all the best guys, talk to you soon

Welcome back mate, it's been a long time. Bloody typical ain't it, just as I get someone to tell me your mobile number (I lost it, doh! Confused) you come home!

Glad to hear things are going well for you mate, you're sorted for life now, and will get an awesome pension at the very end of it.

I think this calls for a piss up. Those in agreement say 'I' Very Happy
