By 'The local police, for local people' *snigger*

Anyhew, was all fairly bullshit and weaseled my way out of any proper bother. But for the first stop EVER they reported me to the DVLA for not displaying tax.

I AM taxed, I just never display it. Cunts kept nicking it. So I've been tax disc free for abotu 4 years now. Never been an issue until these baby-coppers stopped me.

They reckoned that they were just notifying them, and the DVLA would ignore it basically as I have tax. But it is up to them.

Does that basically mean I'm going to get a bullshit fine? Anyone know?

As far as i'm aware you don't have to have your tax disk on your bike, cops just take your number plate anyway so they'll know if you have tax or not regardless if its on there or not? I wouldnt worry yourself about it too much old chap Thumbs Up

a couple of bike cops gave me a £60 fine for not displaying my £15 tax disc even though I was taxed.

They were looking for anything they could do me for.

The first thing they said when they stopped us:

"so who's the one with the full licence then?"

Implying I only had a CBT and had just taken the L plates off the CG. I think I pissed him off when I pulled it out and decided he'd find something to do me for.

You will not get fined if you are taxed. In my case, I got an on the spot fine that I had to pay at the council offices.

Aye, I was hoping that was the case. But he didn't seem so sure.

I got the distinct feeling the whole time that they were very green, and were just out looking for someone to practice their forms on Rolling Eyes
