nsr gear problems

my 1991 nsr 125 goes into 1st gear and moves but when i try to shift to 2nd it pops back in to neutral and goes no higher but if i get off the bike and give the gear leaver a good hard pull it does no probles can any1 help me pl

the achilles tendon of this bike is the 2nd gear . generaly when this kind of bug appear it's not a good sign (cog,forks) . rebuilding the gear box will take a long and hard job . you can try to change the oil with automatic gear box oil such as DEXTRON III (in this case fill 0.8L instead of 0.7L)
the other solution is to find a good bottom-end and place your top-end on it
