Freeware MOV splitter

I have some pretty good videos from Lemans on my camera, 2 of them are about 1.8gb .MOV files. I want to put them on youtube/facebook and they need to be under 1gb. I was hoping to split them to half there length. I can't seem to find any freeware that does this without leaving a watermark.

windows media encoder 9. anything after 9 you have to pay for or crack.
