Downloaded the game crysis and having some issues getting it to run, everything works 100% perfect, it all installed fine with no issues and the game opens up alright, but when i press the play button it tells me to insert a disk, which obviously I dont have.

Everybody else who downloaded the torrent had no problems so I am apperently being a tard, I have deamon tools to trick it into thinking their is a disk, but I cant fint the bit that I need to mount.

Please help a confused retard Laughing

PC's arnt my strong point!

I should probably add to this so that people can actualy help me, these instructions were on the torrent site:

Quote:
1.Extract all files (Crysis, Crysis Patch 1.1, Crysis Cracks/Keygen, into separate folders.
2.Run Crysis setup launcher.
3.Go to Crysis cracks and key folder to obtain and input serial number.
4.Go to Crysis Cracks, pick either XP or Vista 32 or 64(BIN) folder.
5.Copy and paste to C:>Program files>Electronics Arts>Crytek>Crysis>Bin **(32 bit or 64bit).
6.Install Crysis Patch 1.1 (very important for system fixes and stability).
7.Reboot, and enjoy:)

I followed them word for word, but it still asks for a disk at the end.

When you did steps 4 & 5 did it ask you to overwrite the existing file ?

Look in that same file that you pasted in and try clicking on the exe file to run it.

I think there was a new crack required for the patch but should be safe to assume it was the right one if it was included.

You other option if that doesn't work it look for the nocd patch.

gamecopyworld.com is a good place for nocd cracks if you want to try another.

Yeah I second the trying a no cd crack for 1.1, usually when you patch you have to apply a new crack.

agree with the above suggestions!

you dont need to do anything with daemon tools now as you've installed the game (daemon tools just mounts the iso, which allows you to install).

you now need to copy a cracked .exe that will start the game... the exe will be the 1 that sits on your desktop called crysis.exe or can be found from start>programs...etc

once you've found a cracked exe, go to the directory (place) where you installed the game i.e. c:\program file\crysis or something... where the original (uncracked) crysis.exe is located, now copy the cracked exe over the original one.

this exe has been fucked about with so it doesn't check if you have a CD in your drive.

btw top game you will love it, crysis warhead is even better but very short.

also i expect flames here lol but crysis is 1 game actually worth buying.

Turns out I installed the vista crack by accident, game works fine now Thumbs Up

Well, I say fine, but the laptop can't really handle it even set on the worst quality settings, seems like a pretty good game though Thumbs Up

Congratulations. You now have several Trojans, keyloggers and botnet slaves running. Thumbs Up

None of my virus scans etc... have picked anything up, always downloading random shite and avast seems to pick 99% of the bad stuff up straight away, and finds anything else when I run a thorough scan Thumbs Up Also got several firewalls and spyware detectors running at various times and none of those have found anything.

I would say I am fairly safe, thanks all the same.

No idea why your running it on a lowspec laptop. Its pretty pointless seeing as the game is built just for the graphics. When you reach the "ice level" your laptops gonna die on its arse. Even my pc stuggled and its a custom built gaming rig which back when crysis came out was top of the range.

Just thought I'd check it out, was well aware that it was unlikely to run, hence downloading it rather than paying for it Thumbs Up

Got a few anti-virus' on here at the moment (AVG, Bit defender, Avast) only really use avast though, prefer it to the others by a long way. Got ZoneAlarm as a firewall.

Why anyway? If you think I have so many nasties on the PC what would you suggest I use?

The best option would be to check your processes (presuming you know what should be running anyway) and google any you think are suspicious. Usually you will find information on the processes and how to remove it if it is harmful.

However if you unsure you can download a small program called HijackThis create a log and post it on here and I can check it for you if you want?

Shocked Should only have 1 Antivirus installed at any time (thats why most tell you to uninstall others at the first screen) as they will conflict with each other and may miss things.
