I bought a DSL router from PC World (I know!) about 4 months back cos I got sick of swopping the cables over between my Xbox and PC.

Not needing the wireless (the router is within reach of both connections) I never touched the 'security' button, until a few weeks ago when I was bored waiting for my guild to stop arsing about on WoW.

I live in a set of flats and can easily 'see' other people's wireless connections from my N95, let alone my PC, but it seeems that since I pressed the button, someone else can 'see' my connection now too, certainly the wireless light on the router lights up now.

Question is, how do I stop whoever it is leeching my bandwidth? I have tried pressing the button again, but to no avail. Can I change the WEP key on the encryption?

More interestingly, can I find out who else is connected to my router?

Just turn the wireless option off, from the control page....

Odds on you have activated it while messing around.

Wireless may be flashing as its looking for a connection. If its got a key already enable, someone has done well to break it. More likely its got no key set.

Sorted!

The little secure light has come on now and the wireless network light off.

There was no wireless network security set up.

Must learn not to play withbuttons before reading the manual Embarassed
