The rear end of my TDM 850 has gained a loud squeek/creek under compression/de-compression.

Whilst both pushing down on the footpeg and allowing it to rebound, I can feel a vibration through the shock spring (It's a Hagon rear shock)

Slackening off the lower pivot bolt stopped the noise. I whipped out the bolt, gave it some grease and also smeared the swing-arm-mating faces of the shock pivot area.

The noise was still there when I re-fitted the bolt... Rolling Eyes

Is this likely to be a worn lower shock or shock bush? Do Hagon do spare parts or is it just part of a re-build?

Should there be washers/spacers/O-rings between the shock pivot and swing-arm?

Could it actually caused by dry swing-arm bearings rather than the shock?

give hagon a ring, you should be able to buy the bushes seperately. Id get the shock out and give everything a good clean, and grease anythign that moves.

I had a similar squeek and it was one of the bushes, it had dried out.
