ok so you'd think people who work for the highways agency would have the tiniest bit of road sense but guess again.

Being brutally honest I do not think this is thread worthy. He forgot to look across the bus lane...

Remember your hazard perception test? Text book example really. Sounding even the weakest of horns at the appropriate time may have alerted him of your presence.

I'm sure the guy would have been less grateful if he nearly ended up under a bus than a bike.

Fooking hate bus lanes, especially the ONE buslane we have in Stevenage. Which is so very rarely used you forget about it, but basically means a near death experience if you're half asleep.

Essentially, 99.999999999999999999999% of the vehicles you see in that lane will be following it round, and on the way back out theres usually no reason to give way. And it that lane continues round and off, with no merging needed.

So, rather then the buses having to make the horrific move in to the lane to the right of them... they plow straight through that junction traffic island.

Now THAT is some fucked up shit.

I would rather be hit by a bus at 30 than a bike. A bus is a large flat area that would have some give. A bike is solid and pointy.

Many bus lanes allow bikes in them.

Anyone complaining about there horn should get a stebel horn. I think mine is 136db Laughing I love making people shit them selves

Is no one else concerned that our lad bofh5 is clearly using a camera set up designed to record candid "upskirt" shots of high street cunny?
PM me any decent peaks in video format. Consider this a trial run to recieve HighDef funding.

Read the bumph they are only 130+ decibels if you run them on 24V. 12V isn't enough to make your ears bleed Sad

Bikes are allowed in that one and it saves a bit of time rather then going the longer way round with the cars.

Your obviously not aware of momentum.

A bus traveling @ 30PMH is going to hurt a hell of a lot more than a 250kg bike traveling at the same speed.

Bus @ 30 mph = 93,870 kg m/s
Bike @ 30 mph = 4023 kg m/s

Assumption - Bus weighs 7 tonnes (7000Kg), M'cycle weighs 300kg

Give me a bike any day. Bus will break your neck and fracture your skull. Bike will more than likely brake your leg.

Buses don't 'give' at all

I think what chris was trying to say is that due to the shape of the contact point on the two objects, the bus, whilst obviously causing more damage, the bike would cause a sharper pain.
Like getting hit by a dart, or a football.
