Hi Tintitin.

The bcf massive don't have much in common with gofundme ventures.

Prepare for a wall of nae.

The fact it's polite, well laid out and not difficult to read gets him off an instant karma neg from me.

The fact his first post on the forum is nominally a begging one?

Sorry Thumbs Down

For some reason I thought 'fundraising' was 'childraising' and was expecting a good thread.

Poor obs by your close friend, should have inspected his bike a bit better.

My bikes probably more likely to break than anyone, I live on bodges, not to mention my car

Should I remove my thread/post? No problem if so, I understand.
As a newb here, if req. could someone point me out as to how though please sorry?

Cheers anyway guys.

Apologies are usually accepted in the form of naked photos.

Nah with you being new here and this being a post it won't do you favours. I know it's well written but still..

Have you tried looking around money advice sites?

Cant you just pretend your mate is a refugee and someone pushed him over then poured a small bottle of mineral water over him?

That usually fetches well over £150,000 in 2 days on Go Fund Me.

I have no previous experience in online fundraising but I'd suggest approaching local newspapers to see if they're interesting in his story.

They love human interest stories and if you can get them to feature his on their website with a link to the gofundme page then that might get the ball rolling. Local facebook groups and pages will pick up on it and some people will share that, etc etc etc.

This is all very theoretical as it could fall at the first hurdle when you try to get local newspapers interested.

I don't believe a word of your apologetic demeanour you straight out joined up to post a begging link. Also some of your replies are too flippant for you to be taken as sincere as you're trying to come across. for all I know this might be another ruse like the guy that posted a charity link pointing at his own personal account.

For that reason - I'm out, and so should you be!

Sorry if you feel that way Pete, and if I came across as flippant.
I would probably feel apprehensive also if it was the other way round.
The link was only on the post long enough for the story to be read.
Thankyou for everyone’s help so far. And those that gave me a chance.
