Yamaha RXS carb problem

I bought an RXS100 about 2 months ago and I've been having the odd problem here and there since I got it. Anyway I've managed to get most of them sorted out but one major issue seems to be preventing it from running properly:

When the petrol tap is turned on it seems to be flooding the main air passage through the carburetor therefore causing the engine to cut out. The fuel appears to be coming through the hole in the bottom centre of the airbox side of the carb.

I've tried cleaning all the moving parts carefully and blowing the jets with compressed air etc. but still no luck. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

it sounds like you have a problem with the float or float needle not shutting off this could be for several reasons

1 float level not set right

2 float needle sticking or worn seat

3 float punctured
