Afternoon. Just a quick question.

I know incorrect float heights can cause you to run out of fuel at high RPM if too low, and overflow if too high, but can they generally affect the fueling ratio?

the reason i ask is my AR carb runs waaaaaaaaay too rich at idle, quite rich upto about half throttle, but perfect afterwards. If i lower the float slightly, will this lean out the first half throttle mix? (yes, i know it will lean out the second halvmix, but i can easily move the needle clip down, and put a bigger main jet in)

I have no air or fuel adjustment screws to do it this way, and my piolet jet is too old to see the size number, so i aint got a clue what size to buy!

Just dont fancy strippn the carb if float height has no effect!

Cheers all
