i can hear a high pitched ting sort of sound that goes up with revs.

im currently running in a forged piston so i expected a bit of piston slap to start with but i thought it sounded like it was detonating. but the timing is correct.

its got a good squish gap so im assuming its not metal on metal contact (otherwise it shouldve shut up after a while)

is this a normal sound for a new forged piston? it think it was either 0.04mm or 0.05mm piston to bore gap. within manufacturers guidelines.

not sure how to embed the video but this is on photobucket. hopefully you can see it

Is the down pipe an aftermarket one? usualy they are a bit "pingier" than standard.

got another video here. this time from the other side. think it shows the sounds a bit better than the last. it almost sounds metal on metal but honestly i cant see what that could be.

my squish is currently at around 1.6mm. its supposed to be between 1 and 1.35mm or something. the reason mine is big is because i have a different head on. as far as i know the combustion area shape is different. but from what ive been told it doesnt affect the performance.

so who has any ideas?? the thing still runs so i cant be that bad???
