I can't believe that they're honestly considering this as an actual option...
https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/8125331.stm

Am I alone in thinking that this isn't going to be something that government spending can successfully afford? The last thing we need is an American college educational model for our primary and secondary education sector, in my opinion.
While it may well improve certain failing schools, and there's a high chance that the curriculum may well become distinctly more mobile and up-to-date, there's blatantly going to be a tiered financial system attached to this.

Or am I just paranoid, and need to develop some faith in the British people?

my sons school seem more bothered about him wearing a jumper with their logo on it than education.
he and others wearing the aforementioned article of clothing were stopped and told to remove it before being allowed to sit an exam !

he said it was bl00dy freezing sat in the sports hall trying to concentrate.

Whatever question precedes it, the answer to that will always be no. We, the great British public have lost our political bottle.

I was shocked when I visited my son's mate's school a few months ago. The cafe had adverts for the fast food they sell, all over the place, everywhere it was. Looked more like a supermarket cafe than a place for schoolchildren. Apparently his secondary school down the road is even worse for it.

Marketing and education should be kept well apart as one will only pollute the other.
