Brands Hatch 2nd July write up (pic heavy)

Well, it's been a couple of days so thought it time to do the write up.
This was the first proper track day me and the guys I was with have been on.
People constantly say on here that a track day is little to worry about. I can now join that group and say it's not bad. Not risk free but it carries less problems and dangers than on the road.
Martyn and I went to the Nurburgring earlier this year and we both feel it was an entire world apart. The environment is far better/safer for what you're doing.

We arrived at Brands for about half 7. Went and signed in to get the first of our stickers.
After this was noise testing, queue up and have them tell you where to rev it to. Had my baffle with me in case it would need to go in. Fortunately it didn't. +1 sticker for noise testing.

Next up was a safety briefing where they went over the layout of the day, the weather forecast (roasting), general track safety and flag meanings. One more sticker for that.

We get dismissed from that and got told that we were up first for 3 sighting laps. Basically to have a look at the track, get an idea of the route and find out where any crap on track might be.

We roll back in to the pit line and line up in 2 separate columns to be let out at staggered intervals.

This is Andy on a bike he bought from a guy he knows. This was literally the first time he'd ridden the bike properly after doing less than a couple of miles to get it home.

There weren't really and major problems on the day for our lot that went.
One from Sosha's lot managed to have a mega bin on the first session, not braking before paddock hill and missed the turn. Going straight into the barriers. Wrecked a new 09 CBR600-RR.
Some others but most weren't anywhere near as bad.

Losing the will to write more now.
