Hi all

So i was thinking of getting a rev counter for my 125 since it hasnt got one. Are there universal rev counters? If there are is it much hassle to get them fitted/working?

The bike is a Gilera Cougar 125.

Yes, you can get them, most of them tend to work off the HT leads, at least the race ones do and that's the only ones I have experience of, although I've seen some cheaper ones in the Demon Tweeks catalogue.

Scitsu and Elliot are makers of race tachos that run off the HT leads.

If you want a one that won't break the bank, you might want to consider putting a kart tachometer on there ...

I prefer to read from a needle than digital, but if all you are after is knowing the revs its a cheaper option.

It wraps round the HT lead and has its own battery, so naff all fecking about to install it!! Thumbs Up
