hi as you can see i'm new to the forum, not messed with bike for a couple of yrs last being an xt600,i dont no why but in a moment of madness i brought a 70s ts 100 frame & forks (might have been coz i was skint & it was cheap)well now i want to make it into a supermoto etc if possible,if anyone could give me some advice i would be very gratefull
i'm hoping i can put something like a rm 250 engine init i know it will need work on frame etc,but my main concern is what swing arm can i fit as its an old twin shock i want a single shock conversion also what yolks & folks etc could i fit
i brought the frame etc & like to mess so any advice would be great,i will photograph project & post on forum if i can get things rolling

p.s i know i should justs buy a better frame but ive never liked easy projects lol thanks for reading markta

I had a 76 ts125 that I did an engine swap on, you should be able to get the ER185 in there the front & top rear mounting should be pretty close but you will have to cut the bottom of the frame loop out 7 lower the rails a bit. I seem to remember that the top rear mounting on the ER engine is slightly narrower than the TS so you will have to shim it out but that helps when lining up the chain anyway

the right side will need lowering farther than the left as the clutch case is deeper on the later six speed engines & the bottom engine mount is farther forward so the center support rail will need moving forward a bit

as for forks, if I remember right the DR 125 forks will go in there allowing you to put a disk break on the front & being about 5 inches longer than the early TS, makes for a better ride off road

can't help with the swinging arm I left mine as was

of course this is just presuming the 100 frame you have is the same size as the 125 frame I had
