First big spill

Had my first proper off tonight, leaving the cash point at local supermarket, went out the exit by the petrol station, a 90 deg right hander near where the fuel delivery trucks stop.

Gave it a bit of gas to get going, up to 15mph-ish and the back end lights up comes right round and snaps chucking me in a perfect half somersault about 6 ft up to a very heavy landing on my head and right shoulder.

After feeling quite buzzy/fuzzy headed for about a minute some bloke came over and stood my bike up. I then went Cosmically dizzy and sat down quite sharpish whilst phoning my mate to come help.

My right shoulders fucked, feels like a broken collarbone, but after about 10 x rays they think they can see a fracture but I need to go back tommorrow for more prodding and poking as it's at a funny angle to the bone, it may have detached my clavicle from my sternum. Got a really sore foot too, nothing broken in there though, just got back from the hospital, drugged to the eyeballs and not really looking forward to a very warm nights sleep.

Bike took it reasonably well considering it slid for about 10-15m, broken clutch lever, gearlever, bar end , mirror, screen , fucked fairings, engine isn't actually too bad scuffed but not leaking at all.

As a plus my leathers look a bit more hardcore and I can go shopping for a new lid, will post piccies and google earthy type stuff when I can see straight. Good gear is good!!!

Just managed to get through the one armed cak handed undressing challenge and into bed, not impressively comfortable but just swallowed another cocktail of anti inflamatories and painkillers I'll prolly rattle when I walk by end of the week.

surprised how well it's taken it to be honest, woke up very sore today, still knocking back the painkillers, at least it's sunny. Boss has sorted three weeks cover at work too

I would have come out a lot worse had I not been wearing all my kit.

I Have no doubt my boots stopped me smashing my ankle beyond recognition, I only have a sore foot instead.

Thanks to my leathers I have all my skin left, and without the armour my shoulder would have been a lot worse off too, I could feel the leathers holding everything in place afterwards.

As for my lid, if you've got a cheap helmet you must have a cheap head. Came down from a good height on my head and I'm still here, talking I hope some sense!

Still very sore, going to hospital to see specalist now.

Back from hospital.
Still very sore especially after being "manipulated" by the most hurried woman on the face of the planet.

Arrived at the fracture clinic a little early, sat down and after five minutes i got called in.
I almost managed to get a "hello" out, before being told to sit on the bed.

"nowthenwhathaveyoubeendoing?" short pause..."well i....." "yesIseeohdearlookingatyourxraysyouve..."

I didn`t get to finish a single sentence in all of the five minutes i was in there!

The clavical thats floating free in the x-ray should apparently be attached at one end.

Another appointment booked to see the "shoulder specialist" next tuesday.

Still having a very hard time swallowing anything, I reckon the collarbone has pushed into my windpipe on impact then gone back to sit where it is now, my throat is extremely tender.

Either that or I`ve caught swine flu/MRSA/etc at the hospital and i`ll be dead by the weekend.

Signed off for two weeks initially, so suggestions for use of free time? (not the obvious one handed suggestions)
