I've got some scratches on the textured plastic front of my petrol tank (I think it's actually a cover over the air intakes).

Is there any way of taking these out? The problem is it's textured plastic so any work I do will result in smooth areas. Should I just leave it?
(It looks a lot worse in the picture than it actually is, maybe because it's a very sunny day and it's a close up ) |

Yes you can buy the texture coating in aerosol cans. Rub down all the scratches, spray the coating then the colour on top. I watched a painter transform a pair of scraped-up mirrors to like new in about 15 minutes using that stuff. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
