Hi guys

i recently bought my KTM DUKE 2 it has been restricted

it started to happen yesterday , basically 1minute its fine and the next its weird and dangerous.

heres my problem :

i start the bike up for about 5mins let it warm up , when im riding along in 1st gear it jolts forward and loses power. it has been restricted to 33bhp.

im not sure if its the immobilser or the restrictor kit? (it was a washer they used)

also when im riding along the imobilser key bleeps once every 1minute for some reason.

any idea's?

Hello!

I signed up to try and help, I was looking through google to find out how I can restrict my Duke 2 to 33 BHP you see?!

The following could be the reason for the jolting:

Needs rejetting if it has been restricted

Tick over is too low or you're not revving it enough

The restriction is probably washers in the exhaust head and carb and if you look at them they are tiny compared to the usual hole so it might not be getting the right mixture of air and fuel.

One question, where did you get it restricted? Or do you know where I can get mine restricted so I have valid insurance. Need it for the year until I'm 19 then I can take the restrictions out! (2 years restriction expires, Whoo!)

Thanks, Chris

Looks liked I've revived an old thread. Thought it said July 2009 for some reason?

Oh well, hope this helps someone!
