Some of the Midlands crew are coming up to Anglesey on Saturday to do a trackday and I've offered to take pictures of them. I've never done pictures on a track before so I was wondering if anyone knew what the deal is?

Can I just turn up and pitch up on any corner? (obviously the right side of the fences etc) Will I be able to get into the pits/garages?

I won't be looking to do any of the trackday photographers out of any money and I won't be looking to sell any pictures (unless the Midlands crew want to buy any Razz), I'll mainly be doing it for myself to learn really.

Yep, you'll be able to take pictures from anywhere behind the fencing (i.e. normal spectator side). You'll also be able to get into the pits and garages.

The trackday organiser's photographer will be trackside.

Spot on cheers Thumbs Up

I have a 90-300mm lens on a 1.6x crop body, do you think that'll be long enough for behind the fencing?

I've never done Anglesey so don't really know on the length etc, but it's as Silver said really. You won't be able to go trackside unfortunately.
