i have a gpz305 but it been sat for years i have cleaned the carbs and changed oil and fuel put in new plugs but it still is very gut less and runs shit but runs good as gold when you start it, first turn of the engine and it running but pulling away is hard work need full revs to get it moving whats wrong any 1 got any idears need it running for work this winter r6 needs a rest and is scared of the salt.

winter? do you live in australia?

Check the fuel line for blockages, and clean the fuel filter and fuel filter screen inside the fuel tank.

Also clean the air filter.

By the sound of it you have a fuel blockage, where the fuel is dribbling down very slowly to the carbs, so it fires up fine after a few hours of standing, but doesn't get the fuel flow it needs.
