aprilia rs 125 noise problem

hi all bought an rs 125 recently had a few probs but sorted them myself however this 1 has me stumped

when i start her up,she starts fine but it sounds like the starter motor is stuck on but the noise doesnt sound like its coming from the starter????????sorry for explaination but sound is hard to explain
i took the starter off all seems ok
all i can say is its like a [rattling,spinning,chewing noise]
if no 1 can help cheers ne way.

How old is the RS125?

On the older Rotax 123 engined one the starter can stick on. Basically the starter motor spins up a chuck that flies out to connect with the flywheel, and sometimes the chuck doesn't slide back. Quick clean and lube should fix it.

the rs is a 2000 model[ rs replica]

have cleaned the starter all seems ok.

the noise sounds like its coming from just above the starter it also gets louder as you ride

as you go faster it starts to whine but when tiking over its just rattling.

changed gear oil last week could this have anything to do with it.
