wrong sprocket on the rear

i have just found out that the sprocket on the rear of my cagiva mito 125 is wrong , at the moment it has 41 teeth on the rear sprocket , amd its ment to be 43 .

what the most this could do to the bike as it doesnt seem to be running rite at the mo passed 5 to 5 an half 1000 revs in any gear , could this be why ?

decreasing the rear sprocket will result in a higher top speed. the previous owner might have been mucking about with it. HTH Thumbs Up

Hi

Not going to make any difference to certain revs in all gears.

41 teeth is marginally higher gearing, would make 6th gear roughly the same as 7th on the stock Mito (assuming yours is an older one with the 7 speed gearbox).
