My elderly Dad's low mileage Mondeo estate for ?1000!

My Dad hardly ever drives and changes his car about once a decade so has just bought a new Audi A4 estate. He's offered to let me have his old car for free but frankly I'm not in the market for an enormous old man mobile so I'm just going to sell it for him and he's giving me any cash over and above what the dealer had offered him as a trade in value.

It's a 1998 Silver 2 litre zetec, only 70,000 miles or so, full MOT, aircon, heated front windscreen , remote central locking and CD player etc. New exhaust, new brake discs and pads and nearly new tyres.

He's owned it since it was less than a year old so only 2 owners!
The mileage is almost entirely motorway miles as my parents live in the centre of Bristol and my dad walks to work. The car has been used mainly for holidays to Europe and around the UK and my dad drives like an old man so it should be in excellent shape mechanically. I'm up in Cambs so haven't got any pics yet but will try to get down there and get some and also take the old girl out for a spin and see if there's anything wrong with it to mention.

I'm looking for £1000 which I reckon is a bargain for a car that is probably less than halfway through it's working life. My dad is a medical academic in his late 60s; when I say this car has had an easy life I'm not kidding!
