Hello All,
I have a very sticky choke cable which is causing the choke to stick on.
I found this in ebay: Cable Oiler
Will this do the job, how does it work? ____________________ Suzuki GSXR600 SRAD, 1997 & Kawasaki Z1000, 2003. |

Dunno, I have a hydraulic cable oiler like this, works well, to my mind its the only true way to properly FORCE oil through!!
...it is a bit messy mind!!

As above really, I usually use the corner of a freezer bag filled with oil taped to the cable then leave it to gravity. worked fine on my stiff clutch cable. ____________________ Dont Click HERE

the one you linked to on ebay is only suitable for aerosol oil which is rubbish in my opinion. i bought one of the ones Blue_SV650 mentioned but to be honest i find it too messy and for throttle cables etc with bends in the ends its a bitch to get a good seal on the cable.
go with the DIY approach IMO ____________________ duck my sick! |

Oh and its worth mentioning at this point that some cables have a nylon (think it is nylon) sheath on the cable, they don't take to kindly to oil as the nylon swells up!! ... so have a good look at a cables construction before getting at it with oil!! ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |
