You can get bike delivery from about £150... I think they advertise 'anywhere in UK', but I'm not 100% certain on that.

Headstocks is a one-man-band, so even if he is willing to deliver to NI, it's gonna cost a fair bit, plus you may have to wait a while Confused

I'm buying the 2003 model for £3000 (www.planetmotor.co.uk)thats only £500 more then he wants for this 2002 model! and i'm getting 1 years free Insurance fully com and i get 1yrs RAC with the insurance!

It a very well looked after bike but i think it should be going for more like £2100-£1900 something like that.

i think the 2002 model of the NSR and the 2003 model look almost the same i cant see if there is anything that has change!

You cant go wrong with the NSR. Not the fastest 125 the world has ever seen but you can count on it starting every time everyday Very Happy

this is just my point of view!im not meanig to put a downer on the sale of the bike because it looks like a VERY well kept bike and should go for a good price!

How old are you? What is the excess on the insurance? Confused

Fully comp. on an NSR they're cutting they're own arms off if they're giving you that

There's usually an excess to pay on TPFT policies as well, which is the most likely deal.

Yes, it still sounds like a good deal...but are you 100% that the excess will be £250? It's worth checking as it can make a huge difference if you need to make a claim.

Right... fair comments, but:

From the web site (presuming it's www.planetmoto.co.uk ) they list as £2995 + On the Road charges. As far as I know you're usually looking at, at least £250 on top for that.
If you have managed to get a deal including OTR charges and fully comp insurace for that price then I'm sure everyone will agree that you've got a very good deal. If you're youngish (under 20) I would even question if they would be making or losing money on the deal.

So from their website (not the deal you have) you get a new bike (doesn't say if it's UK, if it's not then you definatley want to avoid it at all costs) for what I would presume iS at least £750 more than the asking price of mine you get:
A bit longer on the warranty, mine has 6 months 'used up' so far. If it's a Uk bike you also get AA cover for two years by the way, which mine stil has a year and a half of.
You also get the 'bonus' of running in: I believe you will be limited to around 45mph for the first 600 miles, with appropriatley decreased acceleration. There's no way I'd want to ride at 45mph for 600 miles, even if it was my first bike and did seem fast (thus I wouldn't buy new).
You also get slightly higher insurance in teh future for various reasons and more trouble selling it at a price near what you paid for it.

i think your right about the running in of the engine which im not looking forward to!600miles at 45mph now im not looking forward to that! Im 20 nearly 21 and i think its not fully comp now its just TPFT!

ill get the full details on monday when i go to see the bike!

but for the O.T.R i just have to pay £120 which includes road tax full tank of fuel and 2 stroke oil + the engine oil!

so the my final price is £3120 which is a good amount for a sports bike! i got a qoute from clickquote.com and with 1yrs NCB it would only cost me £320 to get fully comp insurance with £300ex

i just dont like the idea of someone else running in my bike. even tho i will have to run it in for about a month i think (600miles) you have to understand! how would i know if i was buying your bike for £2500 that you ran it in right? not ragging it around top speed?

£2500 is a lot of money to be spending on a 2nd hand bike!Mate im not trying to put any kind of downer on ur sell of the bike i just think its pricey for what your selling!

it looks like its just come out of the shop!i dont want to make you mad mate just expressing my point of view!

If it's a UK model, 2 years.

If it's not I /seriously/ suggest you avoid (not just me being biased, talk to anyone on here that's had an import.

Also, note:

You don't, but then you don't know that it wasn't assembled (from the crate) by some work experience lacky on their first day etc, etc.
You'd have to trust me (or stephen in this case) that it's okay.

£3120 is a lot of money to be spending on a 125cc bike!Mate im not trying to put any kind of downer on ur purchase of the bike i just think its pricey for what your buying!
Razz
Personally I wouldn't spend much over £1200 on a 125, because you don't get a significantly better bike for your money.
(This NSR was swapped, not bought)
(great salesman, me)

However I do appreciate that some people like 'shiny' bits and want a bike that well get some 'street cred' from whoever it may be that respects them for having the aforementioned shiny stuff.

No offense taken, but I think what I'd be willing to offer is a good price compared to what you're getting new.
