Yeah, OK I know it's only an NSR but it's my first bike and I've only been riding for 4 months!

Cam,

Mine's an 03 UK bike that I bought in March this year, so it was relatively easy to derestrict unlike the imports which (I've heard) have all sorts of electronic (CDI) restrictions. I'd done 1100 miles on it before this weekend when myself and a mate decided to derestrict her.

Anyway, before it used to rev up to about 9.5K and start shaking and not do much more. I could do 0-60 in about 12 seconds and had it up to 75 a couple of times. Sixth gear was a no no as it wouldn't maintain a decent speed unless I was going down a hill.

Now, however, the bike performs a little better in the low rev range but as soon as you hit 7K the power band kicks in Smile and it revs easily to 11 - I haven't pushed it any further as I don't want to hurt my baby.

It will now fly up to 60 very easily, I recon it does it in about 5 seconds. It has no problems going up to 80 and still pulls up to 95. I've had just over 100 out of this afternoon and it's reving at about 10K in sixth gear at that.

It used to do about 120 miles on a tank, I'm now getting about 80-90.

It's definately worth doing if you're wanting to get a bit more poke out of your NSR - it makes it feel like a different bike.

After riding this 125, can't wait to get a bit more experience and step onto bigger machines!

Hope this helps...

Beechy
