Ns125r Problems. cuting out at 6500rpm

Hi, new to this forum nd needing a little help trying to fix a wee problem with my nsr125

Just bought the bike.

Bike seemed flat and pretty dull when riding ( hardly rev over 5,500rpm in any gear unless going down hill , also was getting around 45-50 top speed , flat out in 6th gear on open level road)

so was thinking that bike was restricted, so had a check ...

no restrictor in exhaust or in air intake manifold.

Now when i was out on the wee bike , whenever i go downhill, it and revs are higher than 6500 rpm , it cuts out and engine shuts down.

Really dont have any ideas as to why this is happening , other than possibly fuel starvation ??

Any tips , solutions would be appreciated
