How do i polish things..??

on my hornet i have some really dull looking footrest hangars, grab rail and swing arm..

does anyone know how i can polish them properly?

I presume you just sand them down with fine wet&dry sandpaper, then autosol??

Yeah thats ok but a bit hard to get in all the holes and stuff. i polish them up on a grinding wheel with polishing bit on.

cool cheers, i think i'll try wet&dry first, work my way from 500 grit to 2000. just because its cheaper..

can you laquer it after its polished??

You might be better starting at about 220 grit to remove the lacquer. I have been known to go as low as 80 on big, rough looking bits.

You can lacquer them after but it tends to dull the shine and may just flake off if the parts gets hit. I prefer to use a good quality polish, most of which inhibit corrosion for a fair amount of time.
