Right guys, picture this.

30 base units need to be imaged with a standard copy of windows xp.

Out of the box they have Vista on there, the bios boot order is cd,hdd, usb, pxe.

What i want to do is have a server that can image several of the units at the same time.

I dont want to boot each base unit to change the boot order

What software on the server shall i use?
what software shall i burn to cd to boot the units from?

Cheers

you need to multi-cast using something like ghost or active disk image.

i presume they are all on a network.

install ghost (for example) on the server, set it to deploy your ghost image
boot every pc using a cd to connect to the server
once all are connect click the big red button on the server to push it out.

should be done in about the same time as it takes to ghost a single machine in my experience (100mb network)

Agree with the above. Ghost server is so easy to use...

Sysprep your build if you have time to make it easier
