hi there iv just bought this bike and im doing it all up, i know its a old bike but its also my 1st big bike, im doing my big bike test soon so im hoping it will be ready by then. only problem is when its warmed up it wont start again till it cools down. can anyone help me for any ideas Very Happy please

so far iv changed all the plugs, oil, oil filter and im going to flush out the radiator.

Hi.

I've got an old bike too and have had similar problems.

Mine was not cranking properly when hot which turned out to be the earth strap from the battery to the engine. Was corroded at the engine. Started fine when cold and bumped off with minimal effort when hot.

Also, check the carburettors. Clean them and check the choke mechanism is working properly and not stuck on.

Other than that, i'm sure the resident guru's on here will offer better advice.

starts up fine when cold all the time, just when the engine gets warm it wont start again once you turn it off. will only start again only when it cools down. carbs have been stripped and clean but still same problem Evil or Very Mad
