Hi i have a honda cb1(Japanese spec) i was wondering if anyone has info on these ie 1/4 mile, 0-60mph, 0-100mph, bhp and torque figures and top speed.

The reason i ask top speed is i can get an indicated 115mph(185kph) in 5th gear. In 6th it goes off the clock to around 195-200kph then stops there while gathering more speed(revs still climbing but most reviews state a 115mph top speed.

Also someone i know has a cbr400 nc23 and he says it will easily pull away from my bike in a straight line but my bike has a nc23 engine(With a nc23 engine number) so i cant see there been much difference apart from top speed is this right.

Any help will be much appreciated thanks.

Quarter mile would be around 13.5 seconds, reaching just over 100mph in that time. Makes around 53bhp, so expect 45 or so at the rear wheel, 25lb-ft of torque.

Highest speed I saw on mine was 118mph with a Motrax speedo convertor - real world speed probably 110 or so. Most Japanese bikes are restricted to 180kph (112mph), but it is an easy bypass to make so I presume yours has such a modification.

A CBR makes around 10bhp more, albeit nearer the top end of the bike. A CB1, on a flat road, should stick with one up to 90mph or so, where the CBR's aerodynamics, higher gearing and more power would mean it'll pull away a little.

Hi this is sort of true. The first week i had it the restrictor was definatley there and it would hit it and start spluttering but it slowly stopped kicking in on occasion and now(ive owned it for about a month) it doesnt kick in and it will go to the rev limiter of 13000rpm in sixth gear.

I have a speedcamera detector that tells me the speed through gps and displays on a digital display i think im going to fit it to give me a more accurate speed reading as my bike gets around 130mph showing(past the kph sighn and almost to 0kph again.) in fourth when its wet as the speedo keeps pulling in water.
