I have a had some play on some 125cc bikes for fun. And have only tryed the fastest.

The Honda CBF 125 4stroke fuel injection can cruise at 70mph and can top out at 75mph almost 80mph if your not 11 stone like me.

Iv tryed the Hyosung 125R a 4 stroke carb ( V-twin ) bike and got 81mph out of it by Sat-nav.

I belive some other bikes can be made to go faster with a gear up kit or change or rear gear sprocket to a bigger one.

Surely if you were /that/ worried about the 14.?bhp law then you wouldnt dare go over the 70mph speedlimit anyway...

To the OP, if you really dont care about the law like that then go for a full power 2 stroke like an RS125 or fit a 172 kit to a scooter, Italjet dragstars are pretty quick for a scooter, or a gilera runner, both 125's can have a 172 kit easily fitted, both will still be registered as 125's both will have crap reliability and all bikes mentioned in this post will be illegal to ride on your CBT and void any insurance cover.

I would get a reliable 2t - DTR, NSR or KMX - not the fastest (prob about 85-90 derestricted) but will last better then a Mito/RS125.

If your after a 4T look for a Sachs XTC (after 2003 are all 4T) get then for about 600-800 on eBay.

hi 20 years ago i had a E REG RD 125LC and i tuned that up to do 105 mph thats the fastest iv every got out of it, i put on a chrome all speed full can on it with K n N air filter and put a bigger jet in the carbs. could these newer bikes be able to do the same?
