I'm trying to do something that's seems straightforward enough with a pivot table, but it's defeating me.
I need to do a top 3 filter on a field, but with the subtotals showing the total value of the whole field, not just the total value of the top 3.
Is it possibly? Getting pissed off copying and pasting as a workaround, there are a lot of subtotals and it's spazzing my vision which could lead to errors.
Any help appreciated.  ____________________ CBR125|||GSXR400|||CBR400|||CBR400|||CB250RS|||GSXR750|||CB250RS

save yourself the headache of trying to make a pivot table jump through hoops (they wont have it). What you are trying to do is probably easier using lookups (or a simple macro)....but then I might be wrong ____________________ Eagles may soar.............but rats don't get sucked through jet engines!!

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately pivot tables is the best way to manipulate the data I use (blocks of data, multiple fields and values).
I can usually work stuff out ok, but this awkward customer wants stuff out of the norm.
Might just send them the bloody pivot table and let them struggle with it! ____________________ CBR125|||GSXR400|||CBR400|||CBR400|||CB250RS|||GSXR750|||CB250RS
