Hey guys and girls(if any), Im Rudi from East London and i ride a DT125R, ive been browsing the forum for the past week or so and it seems like a decent place for bikers so i thought i'd sign up. Very Happy

I tried to join the South East section but ive had no luck, do i have to get my post count up to prove im genuine?

This is my bike its a 2002 DT125R with 2k miles on the clock, been in storage most of its life untill i got my hands on it 500miles in a week Cool

I have plans to take my full motorcycle test within a year but being a full time student studying vechicle mechanics its difficult to get the cash Mad

East London, get a decent chain (that one wouldn't last one round with some bolt croppers) and thread it through the frame or something not easily removable if that's where it lives.

Nice bike, make sure you keep it chained up, but I can't tell if the chain is good or not from the photo, my eye sight although stated as very good by the optician 4 weeks ago, can't see what make it is.

I use a Granite Abus lock and chain and for the past 15 years it has worked well.

Yeah the chain isnt the best make its just a cheap oxford one, the bike does have an alarm which ive set off a few times just by attempting to take the cover off and you really wouldnt wanna listen to it for more than 5 secs its really loud, also its under a cover at all times which deters people(kinda) and i live on a really busy dual carriageway theres always police using the road, with all this going on i think the odds are against the thieves but i will take your advice and get a better chain anyway i would be kicking myself if the bike disappears because of a shite chain.

They are unfortunately VERY nickable bikes.

Right idea with the cover Thumbs Up , alarms though tend to be ignored.

Get a better chain as soon as you can afford it and always chain through the frame (not wheel) to something solid. Thumbs Up

Oh, and welcome! Smile
