Srad 750 knocking

I have a knocking sound on my srad, it almost sounds like the pads on the front are loose, and are catching the pads each revolution. I,ve been told this cant happen thou, and im now worried its the cam chain tensioner. Please help if you can, cheers Embarassed

Front wheel bearing?.....that's what it was on mine.

Cheers guys, that's a big help, if it was the wheel bearing, would the noise stop when you apply the front brake? Because i think thats whats happening. Thanks Confused

yes-the wheel spindle moves up and down when free, then the movement is stopped by the brake caliper when it grips the disc.

Youll have to pop the front wheel off and check the bearings-to be bad enough to produce the knock u describe u can move the baring inner with a finger-it will feel "sloppy"

Also rotate the bearings by hand, if they grab and don't turn or if it feels like there is grit in there causing resistance then they are shagged.
